Aaron spent 8.5 years working at the globally respected Environmental Defense Fund where he developed and quarterbacked advocacy strategies related to international development, trade, finance, human rights, and the environment. Special areas of focus included natural resource, extractive-industry, and infrastructure sectors in developing countries; standards, accountability, results, and incentives at international financial institutions, including multilateral development banks and export credit agencies; and all of the foregoing as regards U.S. foreign, economic, and trade policy. He has brought the gains from his experience to the Malk green team. As a renowned thought leader on reforming large global organizations, he has led efforts to update the environmental policies of the Inter-American Development Bank. Aaron also led international efforts that contributed to the establishment of Peru’s first cabinet-level environment authority. He holds a B.S. in Conservation and Resources Studies from UC, Berkeley, a Masters from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
